So
you were in the cathedral choir? Yes.
Music has always been an influence in my life, ever since I started
as a chorister at Exeter Cathedral. Since then I've tried to merge
my choral background with an original twist.
The song is quite
unique, how would you describe it in three words? Spine-tingling, haunting and beautiful - is that
three? Could be four!

Charles
Deuchar wants to be a full time musician. |
It's
very different to much of the music you hear these days - what do
you think of the current music scene? I
love the diversity of music at the moment, there are some great
new bands coming out of all different styles. I think it's brilliant
that old genres of music are becoming popular again but at the same
time music is moving forward quicker than ever.
Tell
us about the track..
It's called Lost In Transition and it's about being lost
in the transitional period of being two different people.
Let's say you're throwing
a dinner party and you could invite anyone, dead or alive, to attend.
Who would you choose? Chino
Moreno from the Deftones because I've idolised him for years and
he has a fantastic voice. Trevor MacDonald because he is a god!
And Thom Yorke from Radiohead because I would love to meet him and
ask him lots of questions. It could be an interesting evening.
If you become
famous, what would you do? I would give half my money to charity and be very
happy that I could be a full time musician.
What do you consider
the highs and lows of living in Devon?
I love going for walks in the countryside and the relaxed atmosphere
of Devon. And I can't think of any lows. Apart from the rain - I
love it!
Are
you ready for people to listen to your demo and give you feedback? Please, please,
please listen to my demo. I truly love it and would be very pleased
to hear any responses - good or bad!
