大象传媒 Radio Devon reporter Jo Bishop has made a great start to her walk around Devon in aid of the radio station's Chestnut Appeal.

Jo, who is Radio Devon's East Devon reporter, set off on Saturday 30th August and her walk is due to finish on 26th September.

We caught up with her on Day 5 - Wednesday 3rd September. On this day, Jo walked 20 miles from Welcombe to Clovelly.

"This is one of the toughest days of the entire walk," she said.

"There are a lot of steep undulations - but just look at the views you get here. It's a fantastic stretch of the South West Coast Path."

She said that so far, everything has gone to plan.

"It's gone really well - better than I could have imagined or hoped for," said Jo.

"The weather has made a huge difference to the enjoyment factor. And I've had a great response from all the people I've met along the way."

Jo, who is doing the walk with her dog Bella and with back up support from her father, hopes to raise thousands of pounds for the Chestnut Appeal.

The appeal is raising money for a unit at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth to treat patients with prostate cancer.
