Brief Description | Books for children to encourage healthy eating. |
Diane and Tim aim to promote healthy eating with their range of children's books. But will the Dragons have an appetite for this fledgling publishing business?
After an eye-catching pitch Deborah Meaden is first of the mark with the pertinent question, apart from the message what else is there to the business? The Huddersfield based duo explain they were up and running and had achieved sales of £7,500 but these were to Borders who unfortunately have now gone into administration.
But they are still confident of progressing to sales of 250,000 books which definitely surprises James Caan, who is hesitant on joining 'mini-Dragon' Tim who has so far provided the funding for the business. James is concerned that they'll struggle to make any real headway in an incredibly crowded market.
James Caan advises the Den's newest Dragon
And things take a further turn for the worse when Peter Jones launches a scathing attack on the message he believes the book he is reading portrays.
And he is joined in this criticism by Duncan Bannatyne who has also spotted some grammatical inconsistencies.
Both are out and the business partners are now down to three Dragons.
James Caan has not heard anything to convince him that even Tim will see a return on his investment and doesn't think that the product is delivering what it was designed to do. He is out and is swiftly joined by Theo Paphitis who doesn't think that the book even delivers on the healthy eating aims they presented. He struggled to see the five a day message other than in a footnote.
It's left to Deborah Meaden to advise they you really need to grab people in this market and they don't really have the angle required. The final Dragon declares herself out.
