Meet our panel of experts, who dispensed great advice on every subject needed to make any One Night of Shakespeare performance a success.
Directing: Fiona Lesley, co-director of The MAP
Fiona is co-director of The MAP*; the theatre making and training company that designed and delivered the teachers workshops for One Night of Shakespeare. Fiona trained as a director and has worked on a wide range of performance projects and young people's productions for over 15 years.
Among the many projects Fiona has been involved in are collaborations with The Barbican, Seinenden Theatre Tokyo and New York University, The Royal National Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company, Warwick Arts Centre, and Arts Council England. Acting: Andrew Frame, professional actor and workshop leader Andrew trained at RADA. His work spans Avante Garde Theatre, Commedia dell'Arte, new writing and Classical Drama. In the past year he has appeared in The Crucible at Sheffield Crucible and Festen in London's West End.
He has been a workshop leader for National Theatre Education and has taught at Middlesex University, and has been a regular collaborator with The MAP Consortium since 2003. Andrew has recently returned from Japan, where he appeared as Othello in a reworking of Shakespeare's original play.

Make-up: Claire Hedger, professional make-up designer
Claire Hedger completed a drama degree at Royal Holloway University of
London, then went onto become a make-up artist after training at Greasepaint studios
in West London.She has been working as a make-up artist for seven years in film, television, music and fashion.

Technical: Jem Maynard Watts, professional theatre technical and lighting producer
Jem studied Design and Technology with Drama, Film and Television in York. Since graduating in 1992 he has worked in technical production and lighting for theatre, music and corporate presentations. He has toured and worked in venues throughout Europe as diverse as arenas, schools, shopping centres, theme parks, festivals and of course theatres. He has been involved in training and teaching in a number of contexts and is also site manager for a 20,000 capacity summer festival.
Combining technical production, performance and leading workshops (in circus and performance skills), Jem sees both sides of the entertainment industry and has a long history of working in schools and with youth agencies.

The Works of Shakespeare: Kate McLuskie - Director of the Shakespeare Institute* in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Professor McCluskie has written numerous articles on the plays of Shakespeare and his contemporary playwrights and is author of Feminist Readings of Renaissance Dramatists, Dekker and Heywood: Professional Dramatists and has edited Webster's The Duchess of Malfi, a collection of Plays on Women and a collection of essays on Shakespeare and the Modern Theatre.
She has taught at the Universities of Kent and Southampton as well as spending time as a visiting professor in the Universities of The West Indies, Colorado and Massachusetts.
