Only 3 months after Kid Adrift first shared his wide-eyed music with the world, Radio 1 DJ Vic Galloway dubbed Kid Adrift to be "probably the hottest unsigned act in Scotland".
The mysterious Glaswegian's brand of dubstep/post-rock/pop - which is written, recorded and produced all by himself - has appeared on the cover of industry magazine Record of the Day and featured on Zane Lowe's Reaction Record slot on Radio 1.
Support from Nick Grimshaw, Vic Galloway and Huw Stephens on Radio 1, Tom Robinson and George Lamb on ´óÏó´«Ã½ 6 Music as well as XFM has created a lot of excitement. The word on the street is that Kid Adrift may for the first time be taking the underground phenomenon of dubstep to the mass audience.
Having been offered gigs at Glastonbury and Reading, the Kid is rehearsing with a full band and intends to hit the road for his first live shows to co-incide with his debut EP LED Illusions in October 2009.
