One of Ireland鈥檚 longest established family bands, Clannad鈥檚 career has spanned forty years. Formed in 1970 in County Donegal, they became known for their blend of traditional and modern folk music, and their use of Irish Gaelic ballads.

In the 1980s their music for the TV programmes Harry's Game and Robin Of Sherwood saw them cross over to achieve mainstream international success, with record sales exceeding 15 million.

September 2013 saw the band鈥檚 first album of new material for 15 years, and the first album recorded with the full original line-up since 1989.
