About This Event

Author Manjeet Mann鈥檚 verse novel The Crossing was the winner of the 2021 Costa Children鈥檚 Book Award. Manjeet will be discussing the book and the story of the two teenagers at its heart 鈥� Natalie, a young swimmer from Dover and Sammy, a refugee making his way from Eritrea to the UK. Manjeet will also reveal how her local library propelled her to a career as a writer. S1+
