´óÏó´«Ã½ Ten Pieces Concert in Preston
Presented by C´óÏó´«Ã½'s Naomi Wilkinson, the concert takes place on Wednesday 4th May at 7pm at Preston Guildhall and is aimed at children aged 9+. Parents are welcome to attend with school groups as well. The concert is also open to non-school groups and families with children aged 7+.
The concert will include performances of each of the Ten Pieces and the orchestra will be joined by young singers from Ripley St Thomas CE Academy to perform the Dies Irae from the Verdi Requiem.
But that’s not all… at 6.15pm there will be a pre-concert performance from Lancashire Schools' Symphony Orchestra in the Guildhall Foyer. Here you can listen to young musicians from across Lancashire perform The Lark Ascending followed by their own piece inspired by Vaughan-Williams' composition.
Tickets are FREE and available from Guildhall Box Office.
