Bob Chilcott鈥檚 The Miracle of Spirit explores water while Veljo Tormis鈥檚 blood-curdling incantation is a curse upon the metal from which war and destruction are fashioned. Cecilia McDowell鈥檚 brand-new piece celebrates the joy of music itself. It receives its first performance alongside Vaughan Williams鈥� classic choral Shakespeare settings from 1951.
