Gruff has also been part of Neon Neon, collaborated with Gorillaz, Simian Mobile Disco and Mogwai, and composed music for computer games and films. A new book, Rise of the Super Furry Animals, telling the story of the band's ascent to fame, is due for publication in February 2015.
