Lost in the Dream

The talent behind one of 2014's most critically acclaimed albums, Lost in the Dream, which topped many end-of-year lists and was named 6 Music's Album of the Year.

Led by singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist Adam Granduciel, his battles with loneliness, isolation and paranoia inspired the album's lyrics. Despite the raw subject matter, the band's sound is uplifting and influences include Americana, Krautrock and Space rock, alongside a dose of Springsteen.

Formed in 2005 by Granduciel, and former member Kurt Vile, The War On Drugs previously released the albums, 'Wagonwheel Blues' and 'Slave Ambeient' and have seen their star ascend over the last few years.

Get set for the soundtrack to an American Road Trip - by the Tyne - as they perform for the 6 Music Festival on Friday.
