In a career spanning 15 years, Hot Chip have redefined electronic music with their blend of rave, folk and rock.
Their passion for filling dance floors with addictive, eclectic noises and bizarre lyrics about monkeys and miniature cymbals show no signs of abating, with a sixth studio album due for release in 2015.
On top of that, their ability to create brilliantly surreal videos – two of which have been directed by comedian Peter Serafinowicz – add to their appeal as the eccentric older brothers of pop.
Expect some tasters of their new work, alongside old favourites, as they take to the 6 Music Festival stage.
