Post-hardcore four piece Enter Shikari were channelling dubstep before most of us knew what it was. The St. Albans outfit, led by vivacious frontman Rou Reynolds have carved out a fervent fanbase in the UK with their dynamic blend of metal and electronic genres.
The quartet formed in 2003, took their name from a boat belonging to Reynold's uncle and set about releasing a series of acclaimed EPs, which captured the attention of Zane Lowe, who remains a long-term supporter of the band. They made their first appearance for Radio 1 in a special show arranged by Zane in 2007 and returned a year later to win over a host of new fans at Big Weekend in Swindon.
The band have now released three albums on their own label Ambush Reality, including the widely celebrated A Flash Flood of Colour, which shot Shikari back into our consciousness in early 2012 and sets them up perfectly to hit Hackney with both barrels.
