Driving Lolita are the result of a challenge former Radio 1 presenter D-Code (Dee Dhanjal) set himself. The drum and bass producer and head remixer for the computer game DJ Hero wanted to shift his sound in a completely new direction.
With the help of guitarist Abrar Hafiz, vocalist Graziella (a former X Factor contestant with Miss Frank) and collaborator Arrows Down, D-Code has achieved his goal producing tracks that are best introduced as electro-punk. Tracks like Run showcase a snarling sound powered by drumbeats and Graziella鈥檚 intense vocal which could probably give The Prodigy a run for their money. It鈥檚 loud, it鈥檚 fast and that鈥檚 definitely a good thing.
