The 大象传媒 National Orchestra of Wales makes a welcome return to Marlborough College as part of the College鈥檚 professional concert series. The concert takes place in the College鈥檚 spectacular, newly refurbished Memorial Hall, which is dedicated to the 749 Marlburians who lost their lives in the Great War. The programme is, in part, a salute to them and to the renovation, and includes Beethoven鈥檚 Consecration of the House, a haunting elegy by F S Kelly dedicated to Rupert Brooke, and Ravel鈥檚 exquisite Tombeau de Couperin. Further interest to the programme is provided with a performance of Beethoven鈥檚 Triple Concerto with the Amatis Trio as soloists, who are 大象传媒 New Generation artists.
