About this event
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ Proms Inspire scheme is for budding composers aged 12 to 18 who want to write their own music. The scheme provides you with a friendly environment to share ideas, participate in workshops, meet other young composers and develop your musical creativity. Best of all, it's free!Â
Join conductor and arranger Jules Buckley, who conducts the Metropole Orkest with Laura Mvula in Prom 45, to explore arranging popular music for ensembles. Together with Jules’ band, a string quartet and other young musicians, you’ll arrange a song to perform at the end of the workshop. You will be expected to play an instrument at this workshop. If you don’t play an instrument, you can have a go at leading, but places will be limited.  Â
Please note timings for this event have changed. This is a repeat of the morning workshop which takes place 11.30am-1.30pm.
How to book To reserve your place please click on the 'sign up' tab above and complete the online booking form. Please note that places are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. A member of the Proms Learning team will be in touch if a place becomes available.
