“Perhaps the most potent female singer of her generation” according to the New Yorker, 2012 Grammy Award Winner Joyce DiDonato has won many honours including 2010 Gramophone Artist of the Year.

Born and educated in Kansas, she was a member of the young artist programmes of the San Francisco, Houston Grand, and Santa Fe Opera companies after graduate studies at Philadelphia’s Academy of Vocal Arts. She began her career in the U.S., but developed a growing and enthusiastic worldwide following that has enabled her to perform on many of the world’s greatest opera stages.

In 2013 she was named Artist of the Year by Classica Magazine and has received rave reviews for her performance in Rossini’s La Donna del Lago at the Royal Opera House.
