Something Good

Named after a mispronunciation of the local flicks, Two Door Cinema Club hail from Northern Ireland and are signed to French label Kitsuné. Producing indie rock tinged with dancing electric loops, they draw comparisons to Phoenix, Everything Everything and Friendly Fires.

There is no messing with the perfect three-minute pop song - Sam, Alex and Kevin deliver just the right amount of musical goodness to get you on your feet. Soaring vocals combined with high-register guitar riffs and repetitive chords combined to create their first album, Tourist History, which won the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year 2010. An appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon followed in 2011, alongside touring with the likes of Delphic, Metronomy and Foals.

2012 brings a second studio album, Beacon, to be released in September and a return to the hallowed ground of Reading + Leeds after last year’s triumph on the Main Stage. For instantly recognisable, life-affirming tracks look no further than the popcorn stand.
