Initially inspired by a north American record collection consisting of The National, Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire and The Dears, Bristol band Escapists have mastered emotive, soaring indie rock.
As individual musicians, the road to Escapists hasn’t always been straightforward but the culmination of their perseverance in and out of the studio has seen them translate their setbacks into drama and urgency on record and in their live shows. Dealing with themes of death, religion and the afterlife, things can get eerie when the Escapists are around but in a very good way.
