About Andy Stanton

Andy Stanton studied English at Oxford until they kicked him out. Since then he's been a film script reader, a cartoonist, an NHS lackey and lots of other things. His interests include books and music (even jazz), but best of all he likes cartoons. One day he'd like to live in New York or Berlin as he's got fantasies of bohemia. His favourite expression is 'Good evening' and his favourite word is 'captain'. Andy, best known for the Mr Gum series of books, has now written a book for Barrington Stoke illustrated by Glasgow-based illustrator Ross Collins. This brings his published total of books to less than fifteen but a bit more than ten!
