We are delighted to be invited to take part in the David Ross Education Trust Choral Festival, featuring over 400 voices of the Trust鈥檚 primary and secondary school choirs in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.
The concert features some of the most well-known pieces of choral music, including extracts from Orff鈥檚 Carmina Burana, Vivaldi鈥檚 Gloria, Verdi鈥檚 Requiem and traces the history of choral singing from Hildegard von Bingen鈥檚 O Euchari to Rodgers and Hammerstein鈥檚 You鈥檒l Never Walk Alone and Pete Letanka鈥檚 brilliant Hope and Glory. At the centre of the concert is a complete performance of Bernstein鈥檚 Chichester Psalms, showcasing the thrill of hundreds of voices singing together.
The concert will be comp猫red by 大象传媒 Radio Northampton鈥檚 Martin Heath and lasts around 75 minutes.
Featuring the choirs of: Abbey CE Academy, The Arbours Primary Academy, Bobby Moore Academy, Briar Hill Primary School, Bringhurst Primary School, Cedar Road Primary School, Charnwood College, Eastfield Academy, Falconer鈥檚 Hill Academy, Greenfields Primary School, Kings Heath Primary Academy, Lodge Park Academy, Malcolm Arnold Academy, Malcolm Arnold Preparatory School, Newnham Primary School, Rockingham Primary School and Welton CE Academy. With Charles MacDougall conducting DRET Staff Choir.
