About This Event
In the final instalment of the tone poem series the focus is on music inspired by the rivers of Europe, both beautiful and sinister. Smetana鈥檚 well-loved Vltava opens with is iconic representation of one of Eastern Europe鈥檚 great rivers. Jan谩膷ek鈥檚 The Danube, unfinished at the time of the composer鈥檚 death, evokes the river that he had planned to take a trip on.
