Josef Suk may have started out following in the footsteps of his father-in-law Dvo艡谩k, but the symphony Suk wrote in his memory could not be more different to Dvo艡谩k鈥檚 style. It鈥檚 a beautiful and moving tribute to his family, named after the Old Testament angel of death Asrael.
It鈥檚 paired with the technically-demanding, majestic and yet beautiful Violin Concerto by Brahms 鈥� performed by Esther Yoo, one of 大象传媒 Radio 3鈥檚 New Generation Artists.
