To kingdom come

Ben moved from London to Devon as a teenager and soon discovered a love of the sea, which along with inspiration from folk legends Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Nick Drake, led to an acoustic sound enthusiastically embraced by the surfing community.

The buzz around his lilting harmonies, jazz-inspired percussion and sombre lyrics quickly traveled further afield and led to sold out dates across Europe plus labels knocking on his door. First album Every Kingdom was released in late 2011 to much acclaim, going platinum and leading to two BRIT Awards and a Mercury nomination.

After the release of a much darker sound in The Burgh Island EP in late 2012, Ben is currently very much establishing himself amongst the folk-influenced heavyweights in America.

Note perfect harmonies, delivered with sparse intensity as well as an apparent fragility are what we can expect when Ben takes to the stage.
