Anton Bruckner dedicated his Ninth Symphony to 'my beloved God', pouring his unquenchable faith and his agonising doubts into one mighty final testament – and then died before he could complete it. In his first Perth concert as ´óÏó´«Ã½ SSO Chief Conductor, Thomas Dausgaard conducts this moving new completion of the unfinished Ninth which has been championed by Sir Simon Rattle. After Dausgaard’s inspirational Bruckner performances in recent years, it should be a powerful way to launch the new Perth Series especially when paired with another valedictory work, Mozart’s final piano concerto in the masterful hands of Imogen Cooper.
