Along with Paolo Nutini, Rita Ora was one of the first artists to be confirmed for Big Weekend in Glasgow. This will be Ora’s third Big Weekend in a row following Hackney and Derry-Londonderry and it’s no secret why she keeps being invited back. With tracks like How We Do (Party), R.I.P and Hot Right Now in her locker and a feisty but massively fun stage presence, there are few UK popstars who can get the party started quite like Rita.
There’s also some extra excitement this time round with the singer’s second album, O, due for release this summer. It’s the follow-up to the crazily popular debut, Ora, which hit No. 1 in 2012 – her first release after signing for Roc Nation in December 2009. The first single from the new record, I Will Never Let You Down, was premiered on the Radio 1 breakfast show and has been produced by Calvin Harris. An exciting year beckons for our Rita, especially with a part in the forthcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey film too… Oo-er, missus!
