Darlia are a three-piece group from Blackpool who have been receiving a volume of on-air support from Radio 1 in recent weeks.
Natan, Dave and Jack, members of this moody punk-pop trio, have been breaking through the network this year and have received some love from music gurus Zane Lowe, after being chosen as his Hottest Record during February, and Huw Stephens, having been invited to play a session for his show at Maida Vale. In March, their latest song Candyman could be heard across all of the daytime shows as the Track Of The Day, picking up even more support from the likes of Fearne Cotton, who has been playing Darlia ever since.
Having worked with the producer of some of London Grammar’s and Florence + The Machine’s biggest hits, you can anticipate big things ahead for Darlia. With comparisons to Nirvana’s killer riffs, Stereophonics moody tone and Liam Gallagher’s crowd-inspiring powerful vocals, Darlia are definitely ones to watch.
