Macclesfield’s Racing Glaciers first submitted music to the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing Uploader at the tail end of 2012. Their track South was quickly picked up by the team at Stoke, who have consistently supported their excellent offerings ever since and bringing it to national attention through Tom Robinson on ´óÏó´«Ã½ 6 Music.
The five-piece, who combine pop melodies, powerful basslines and post-rock influences, are concrete proof that hard work, and plenty of it, pays off. The group made their first EP in just five days in a living room, earning critical online acclaim and then followed it up with their second, Ahead Of You Forever, at the start of 2014. They’re already working on their third.
Their date at Big Weekend comes after a period of heavy touring across, including support slots for Dan Croll and Sons & Lovers and a headline show at KOKO, London.
