In for the win

Indie royalty Jimi Goodwin hails from the massively influential Manchester music scene, having been the front man of Doves until their hiatus in 2010. Doves saw huge commercial success, with second album The Last Broadcast reaching number 1 on the album chart and producing critically acclaimed singles There Goes The Fear and Pounding.

Debut solo album Odulek was released earlier this year and has seen live performances both at the 6 Music Festival and as a support slot for good friends Elbow. With Goodwin's influences ranging from a childhood love for The Clash and a stint in dance trio Sub Sub, Odulek, is correct in calling itself a mix-tape, bringing together snippets of genres in its melancholy warmth. Expect a comforting journey through sound this summer in Somerset.
