Anything But Powerless

Two minds may be better than one, but in the case of East London’s supreme party-starters Rudimental there are at least four creative visions battling for supremacy; Piers Agget, Amir Amor, Kesi Dryden and DJ Locksmith. And that’s before you consider the army of guest vocalists they’ve worked with. That’s a lot of chefs stirring the pot.

Theirs is a particularly impressive guest list too, taking in the talents of John Newman, Alex Clare, Angel Haze, Foxes, Emeli Sandé, MNEK, Becky Hill and Ella Eyre (with whom they created Waiting All Night, the No.1 smash that also won the 2013 BRIT Award for best single). As a result, Rudimental’s sky-blasting festival appearances—and their debut album Home—come across as both a distinct artistic vision and a compilation of amazing chart hits at the same time. And it’s this collaborative spirit that makes them perfect headliners for the In New Music We Trust stage. Because new music and trust are at the heart of everything they do.
