His new concerto, performed by the charismatic Maxim Rysanov is one of the highlights of this year鈥檚 Festival. Concluding the concert, Metcalf鈥檚 radiant Cello Symphony, a work in which the solo instrument embarks upon a rhapsodic musical journey in the company of chorus and orchestra.
