Information

6.15pm, Barbirolli Room

Calling all maestros!
This is YOUR chance to conduct musicians from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Philharmonic playing part of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.4. Batons will be provided!

No prior experience needed in this creative workshop with Principal Guest Conductor Ben Gernon and musicians from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Philharmonic.

There’ll also be a Q & A where you can also ask anything and everything you’ve ever wanted to know about what it’s like to be a conductor…

After the workshop, stay for the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Philharmonic’s concert to hear the full orchestra perform Tchaikovsky’s work.

Journey Through Music concerts feature music that is particularly accessible for children. They include pre-concert events and programme notes written specially for a younger audience. The pre-concert events are a great opportunity for the entire family to get to know the music. Enjoy demonstrations from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Philharmonic players, ask questions and you may even get to make some music yourselves.
The other concerts in the Journey Through Music series are 9 March and 13 April.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Barbirolli Room at 6.15pm. Please be prompt, seats are first come first served. This session is recommended for ages 8 and above although younger children in family groups are welcome. Free to concert ticket holders - you do not need an additional ticket.
