Learning Event
Do you want to make music?
If you're a complete novice or an experienced amateur musician, join professional musicians from the 大象传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra and take part in a special workshop and performance at Eden Court. Perfect for all the family, bring your instruments along. You don't need to read music and you don't need to play an instrument: anyone can sing in the choir, or play percussion instruments.
We're creating an orchestra and choir of all ages and abilities, led by composer and inspirational workshop leader Tim Steiner and guided by vocal guru Anna Flannagan along with members of the 大象传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Everyone will get a chance to join in and be creative.
Inspired by the 大象传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra's forthcoming season of American orchestral music, this event takes the energy and pizazz of the USA as a starting point for a new musical piece - and a unique performance by you!
Almost any instrument you can carry can take part: from accordion to trumpet, violin to clarsach, bassoon to bagpipes. If you have just started to learn an instrument or you have been playing for years, bring it along and perform as part of the group.
