Cow parsley is one of the most common plants found in ditches and meadows around the UK. It will grow almost anywhere, but is most often seen alongside roads and footpaths in countryside. The plant's flowers aren't particularly remarkable but when grown en masse, the flowers appear like white clouds hovering in the spring skies. The plant has a strong, malty scent that is very attractive to insects and bees, making it an ideal plant for the back of a wildlife border or for a meadow garden.
