The Diversions Dance company have a reputation for outstanding dancers,
razor sharp choreography, captivating music and dramatic design.
They're bringing a double bill of dance to The Courtyard in Hereford
on Tuesday 30 September.
The performance begins with new dance by Catalan choreographer Toni
Mira.
Monolith is set in a hectic cityscape and captures the buzz on the
streets and behind closed doors.
Relationships between strangers, lovers, gossiping workers and commuters
in their cars are all given the once-over in this production.
Diversions also performs the latest piece by Artistic Director Roy
Campbell-Moore, Tough Love.
Played out against the iconic music of Janis Joplin, Tough Love dives
headlong into the emotional turmoil of love, passion, joy and pain.
Campbell-Moore’s recent hit productions for the company include Etch
(2001) and Constellation (2000).
Formed in 1983 by Directors Roy Campbell-Moore and Ann Sholem, Diversions
has achieved national and international recognition through its extensive
touring both in Britain and overseas.
The Company begins its twentieth anniversary year on an artistic and
creative high following its most successful touring season ever and
tours to Japan and Poland.
This performance marks Diversions’ only appearance in Hereford during
2003.
