During the war I had a friend who lived in London and who was working with young children, She had a teenager helping her at the time who was wasn't older than about 14 or 15. One morning this girl turns up holding what turned out to be a bomb, of course she had no idea what it was! My friend, thinking fast on her feet carefully took it away from her, not letting on that it was a bomb for fear of it being dropped! With much haste she walked all the way to the nearest police station holding this lethal object which was swiftly detonated upon arrival.
