Although i was to young to remember the memories of my grandad some have been passed on by my mother and father. My grandad lost one of his arms in the second world war due to a shell landing nearby and my eldest brother Lee who was a toddler at the time used to ask 'where has your arm gone grandad'. He used to reply 'its lying at the side of a road in France'. His arm was never found so to this day a part of him is still in France, another reminder of the sacrifices people made for our freedom today.
