November, 1940, there were three families involved and there were two houses completely destroyed, one of them was our Grandparents house and next dooras well. There was a family of six next door, two parents, and four children, the eldest child was eight and the youngest was three and a half. We were rehoused in a house in Erdington, where our Mum lived the next 60 years, she brought up four children after February 1945 as a one parent family as her husband was killed in action in the Army serving in India
