Mrs Naylor lived near Bradford during the war and was a small baby when the war started.
Mrs Naylor travelled in a pram, and her Mum travelled on the double decker buses, which were painted blue and cream. Her Dad travelled on an auto-cycle, which was a cross between a bike and a motorbike. Her Dad had a car as well, with a limit of petrol because of the rationing.
Her Dad was a welder on tanks during the War, and her uncle fought in the war, in the Far East, and he died.
Mrs Naylor wasn't allowed to waste anything; she learned not to waste food because there wasn't very much of it.
The nearest bomb went off less than a mile away from where she lived.
Paper was very precious you had use the whole paper - the back as well.
You weren't allowed new shoes, so she had to cut off the ends of the shoes so they would still fit her to wear as sandals as her feet grew.
During the war they wore dresses with lots of patches on them and they painted black lines down the back of their legs to make it look like stockings!
