My Dad worked in the munitions factory making bullets. This was in Barnsley.
Mother liked listening to Vera Lynn on the wireless. She liked to sew and she made clothes for people on the street.
We had a fruit cake at Christmas and mother made it. She made lovely bread in the oven. It was a black leaded range.
