At the end of the war friends, dad, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles came home again.
What celebrations.
Flags draped across the road from house to house, there was a great party in the street, a piano was brought out, singing and dancing reflected everyone鈥檚 joy that the war was over.
Looking back I can see the special warmth and respect of each for one another.
The war was won; we had come through it together.
