Jeep 5609 RN have you driven this vehicle in 1945?

Vehicles in Service With the Royal Navy
I have owned for many years (since 1987)a 1944 Ford version of the Willys Jeep. It is only in recent years that I have found out the this particular vehicle was used by the Royal Navy during WW2.

My Jeep has been restored (rebuilt) on two separate occassions shortly after purchase and more recently for my wedding.

It would be very interesting to hear from individuals who have served in the Royal Navy and who would like to share their experiences in using and driving such vehicles.

I have attached a photograph of the vehicle, which was taken last year in Normandy. Does any one recognise the RN Registration "5609 RN" or have similar photographs taken of 'RN Jeeps' taken between 1942 - 1956?

It has been an ambition of mine to track down a driver of my jeep and maybe some day I will be lucky?
