I am Mrs C. Miles (nee Collins). I am aged 62. My date of Birth is 31/12/1942. It is an experience that I remember as a very small child, living in Wood Green (London) with my parents, brother and sister, Pauline and Tony. I was the youngest at that time. The memory that I have is of my mother saying to us children ‘Under the Table Kids’, which is what we of course all did. At that time, there must have been an air raid, which I did not know what it was at the time. How long we were there I do not remember, how ever long after my parents were saying ‘all clear’ so we were able to come out. At a later date we were then told what it was all about and what had happened.
