Old Ma Gosling
Rings the bell
We cross the tramlines
Sireens yell
And searchlights weave
Their sky high spell
Over Peckham Rye
And Camberwell
The bricks that hold
Our vaulted sky
Laid be railmen
A century by
Now shield us from
The deaths that fly
Over Peckham Rye
And Camberwell
In junk wood beds
More damp than dry
Whispers, coughs
And muffled cries
Us kids and mums
Hope we wont die
Over Peckham Rye
And Camberwell
In mornings peace
We breath death's smell
No Mercy
For the infidel
Hot shrapnel sharp
Still where it fell
Over Peckham Rye
And Camberwell
Asylum Road
Grey Jezabel
Queens Road station
Southern Belle
Old memories
Older men can tell
Of Peckham Rye
And Camberwell
