As i borded the boat with all the other children in our sleeping suits,Something hit the boat.It was a big torpedo. The Germans had hit the boat with it. Me and my friend Roger were already wearing life jackets but the rest had to get them on and as we got in the lifeboat and sailed back to Fife i told my mum and dad and my gran and grandpa and all my family but i thought it was cool! I was only 11 but it was the scariest day EVER!
