My father Percy Kiln was in 36 Squadron and returned to England to Chivenor in October 1944. Then he was transferred to 224 Squadron was based at Milltown in April 1945 operating USA Liberators. He was trained as a wireless operator/air gunner. As Milltown was in Scotland and my mother came from Scotland I decided to research her war record and found that she also trained as a wireless operator. She was based at Milltown in December 1944 until February 1946. I realised that they must have met between April and July 1945 and married in November 1945. At Christmas, December 1945 she was pregnant with me and left the WRAFs in February 1946 and had me in September of that same year. I only came to find out this story when my uncle sent my father's 1941 RAF diary to me.
