This story was told to Rebecca Redgate who is Betty's great niece, and told in as much detail as she can remember.
As the gent's do they go down for a drink down at the pub but my great grandad didin't drink he only went down to the pub on work duty because he was in the home gard and one of the family's close friend's had a very gruesome death.She owned a carnival at the back of the pub. Most of the local children includeing my grandad and aunty Betty came there
