At the age of 18, living in Tolwin, Poland I was captured by the Russians and sent to a Siberian Labour Camp.
When the Russians joined forces with the Allies I was released and joined the Polish Army. At a later date I transferred to the Polish Branch of the R.A.F. This took me on a long trip from Poland to the Middle East and eventually to England.
During this journey the transport ship which I was on, was hit by a German U-Boat and sank. Luckily I survived and continued my journey to the U.K.
On arrival to the U.K. and to the end of the war, I was stationed at many U.K. airbases.
At the end of the war I was demobbed and decided to stay in the U.K.
