Periodically, all RAF other ranks had to undergo an FFI examination. This involved stripping off and standing naked whilst the F/Sgt discip, Medical Corporal and Medical Officer passed by to see whether or not we had any sexual disease. At 34 MU our huts held 60 airmen in four rows of 15 beds. All staff who were in billets had to come into camp to attend the FFl, so I was there in a hut with 59 other ranks being told to strip off apart from socks and boots and stand in two lines of 30 facing outwards towards the windows.
Just as the F/Sgt, Medical Corporal and Officer came into our hut for inspection who should appear at the windows but five NAAFI girls who had a good look at the 30 naked airmen. When the F/Sgt saw what was going on, he went outside to shoo the girls away, but they calmly walked round to the other side of the hut to have a look at another 30 naked airmen. "Guess who got the largest rock cake at the next NAAFI break?". I do not know if these girls carried out the "grand tour" and visited the other six huts to see even more naked airmen waiting to be visited.
