Mother tried to go out to work but that lasted one week, our Jack the lad and Terry got into some argument with the girls, we got fighting and I ended up tying Terry up with the clothes line, then went to fetch mother from work. When we got back home he had cut himself free with a carving knife and was chasing the girls through one door and out of another door, windows open and curtains flying in all directions, that was the end of her going out to work again, she was broken hearted and said we would end up killing one anther. My brother had caused the trouble in the first place but hit me for tying him up, the girls should have sat on him.

Pauline would feed my little sister

My sister palled about with her mate Pauline and when our Valerie was at their house her mother would often give my little sister a dinner. Her mother would feel sorry for Valerie looking at her with hunger in sister鈥檚 eyes.
